  • Mashed fruits are a common treat for household pets.
  • Commercial foods are avaliable everywhere within their natural range, mostly consisting as a dry meal that can be hydrated with water.
  • Highly bred working anteaters can eliminate nuscience nests within a few days, although most take a few weeks. Because of this practice, some pet anteaters can no longer survive in wild, as they deplete their food sources.
